The JV Boys battled hard against a strong Plymouth Christian bunch but fell short 52-38. The Eagles jumped out to a 4-0 lead but Plymouth ended the first with an 11-0 run of their own. The boys fought all night and stormed back from 7 down to tie it at 17 mid second quarter. Plymouth ended the second quarter with another run, this time a 10-1 run which proved to be the deciding factor. Plymouth took a 9 point lead into half time and never looked back. Our boys battled, but each time we cut into the lead, Plymouth had an answer of their own to extend it.
Tyrek Harrison and Kaleb Murphy led the scoring for the Eagles with 8 a piece. Murphy also pulled down 8 boards. Daniel Lutes and Destin Jackson each added 7 and 4 and 3 steals respectively. Carson Crile crashed the offensive glass and was all over the place on the defensive end as well. He chipped in 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 points. Sam Stearns had a strong game on the glass as well pulling down 9 rebounds to go along with 4 points.
The Eagles will look to bounce back against Southfield Christian on Tuesday night.
