Lutheran Northwest jumped on the JV boys 18-4 in the first quarter. From there our boys battled back, out scoring the Crusaders 39-29 in the final three frames but the early deficit was too much to overcome. At one point late in the fourth quarter, Parkway trailed by just one 39-38. But the Crusaders were able to push that lead out again and Parkway fell 47-43 when the last buzzer sounded.
Destin Jackson led the way yet again with 14 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Kaleb Murphy added 8 to go along with 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Ethan Bishop scored all 6 of his points in a huge third quarter. Daniel Lutes chipped in 5 to go with 6 boards, 4 steals, and 2 assists. Tyrek Harrison’s defense was pivotal in the Eagles comeback effort. He turned it up to another level in the second half and got deflection after deflection allowing Parkway to storm back.
The Eagles will travel to Plymouth on Thursday.
